How they met 

Fate brought Gorman and Laura together on Hinge! A simple swipe that would change their lives forever. Their first date was at a charming little bar called The Hen House in Memphis, Tennessee, where conversation flowed effortlessly and laughter came easy. Neither of them expected much that night, yet something just clicked. What began as an ordinary evening quickly turned into the beginning of an extraordinary love story. One built on instant connection, shared laughter, and the feeling that they had finally found home in each other.

Our Story

Fate, armed with an iPhone and questionable timing, introduced Gorman and Laura on Hinge. It was a modern meet-cute, the kind that starts with a swipe you barely think about and somehow becomes the story you tell forever. Their first date was at The Hen House in Memphis, a bar charming enough to look like it had been waiting for something interesting to happen. They arrived expecting nothing more than a drink, some conversation, and the polite hope that the other person wasn’t secretly deranged. But once they started talking, they never really stopped. Somewhere between the laughter and the ease of it all, a piece of the universe quietly shifted. By the time they stepped back into the Memphis night, neither could explain the effortless certainty settling in. It wasn’t dramatic or cinematic; it simply felt like coming home to a place they hadn’t realized they were missing. One year later, they packed up their lives and moved to Colorado, taking a leap of faith that should have felt reckless but somehow didn’t at all. From that first night on, the truth was clear: they had accidentally swiped their way into exactly the right person.

Avon, Colorado is a charming mountain town nestled in the heart of the Vail Valley, just 18 minutes from Vail and at the base of Beaver Creek Resort. Known for its laid back luxury and stunning alpine views, Avon offers the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. Guests can enjoy beautiful walking paths along the Eagle River, boutique shopping, local restaurants, and easy access to mountain activities! We've included a few hotel recommendations in Avon and Beaver Creek aside from our room block for you to view. Airbnb's are also a popular option for visitors!

This is the best place to fly into. You can grab a shuttle from the airport to Vail from Epic Mountain Express with a 10% discount or rent a vehicle if you prefer.

Denver International Airport

If you prefer to fly right into Eagle County, this airport has direct flights from larger cities or you can connect through Denver International Airport.

Eagle County Regional Airport

A special code has been created for 15% off shuttle services to and from both DIA and EGE airports. Click the link below to book. Epic Mountain Express

We have secured a room block for our guests at this location, which will also serve as the venue for our wedding celebration.
